S. Jay Olshansky, Ph.D., senior research scientist at the University of Chicago and keynote speaker at the Society of Actuaries’ 2016 Life Insurance Conference in Las Vegas, has focused his research on estimates of the upper limits to human longevity. Dr. Olshansky has explored the health and public policy implications associated with individual and population aging; forecasts of the size, survival and age structure of the population; and pursuit of the scientific means to slow aging in people.
